Privacy
Cold Ash Speeding is a community road-safety evidence log. It is designed to collect the minimum information needed to understand patterns of speeding, dangerous driving, racing and vehicle noise around Cold Ash and the route towards Hermitage.
What is collected
A report records the vehicle category and time. Location, direction, observation tags, registration number and a short comment are optional. The service does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or exact location, and it does not intentionally store your IP address in the reporting database.
Registration numbers
A vehicle registration can be personal data in some circumstances. Please only add one where you can do so safely and where it is relevant to the road-safety incident you are reporting. Registrations and comments are never published on this website.
How information is used
Reports are used only to build a private evidence picture of road-safety concerns. Relevant full or aggregated information may be shared with Thames Valley Police, West Berkshire Council and Cold Ash Parish Council where it may assist road-safety work or enforcement.
Retention
Individual reports are retained for no more than 12 months and are then deleted through an automated retention process. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify a vehicle may be retained for longer to show trends over time.
Official police reports
Submitting here does not make an official police report. If an incident needs police attention, use Thames Valley Police’s official reporting service. Call 999 where there is immediate danger.
Questions or objections
Until a dedicated mailbox is activated, privacy enquiries can be raised through the Cold Ash Parish Council road-safety discussion. A dedicated contact address will be added to this page before any wider public launch if the Parish Council adopts or formally supports the evidence log.
